A Little Catching Up

Hey, it's been a pretty good couple of weeks. After a couple of years of procrastination, I finally got around to bringing my bike in for repairs, and got it back again like a brand new machine. So I decided to take it over to La Belle Province and terrorize some geese. Or maybe the geese terrorized me, who is to say. Still, good times.

So now that the Operation: Jet Set! sessions have wrapped up, and we're into post-production stuff now, I'm making one final push to get the second Home Office EP finished. It's been kicking around on my laptop now for something like 8 months and I've hit that point where it just needs to be finished already. Fortunately, all the little pieces are finally starting to come together and there's just a couple more songs to finish writing, but all the music iteslf is pretty much done. I put some of the first EP (done in 2004/2005) up on PureVolume, just for fun.

Oh, I also saw a totally fantastic band from Victoria, BC yesterday at Zaphod's called Jets Overhead. I think these guys have a bit of an early-Dandy Warhols kind of sound to them that I really dig, and their songs are just really solid. Their whole album is downloadable off their site, too, so you don't have to take my word for it. Check it out.

Hopefully the next update won't be as far away as this one was, since there's a whole lot of stuff happening in the next three or four days. It's all quite exciting. Until then...
