On Friday, after two nights of recovering from jet lag and some good nights out, we played our first show in the UK at Henry's Cellar Bar near Haymarket, with our friends The Nukes (who set up all of the first weekend's shows for us, and to whom we will always be eternally grateful) and a rockabilly band called Dick Danger and the Love Bastards. I felt personally like I played a bit rough, but it was also the first time I've used my Hagstrom in a real guitar amp, and not just my mini-twin which runs on a 9-volt battery. The crowd reception was really good though, which made it a definite success in my books. Here are The Nukes, opening the night. Unfortunately this is the only show we actually got to play with them, which is too bad because they're a really fantastic band and a great bunch of guys as well. Hopefully we'll get to bring them over to Canada someday.
And here's us playing our first UK show! (Unfortunately Jeff isn't facing the camera for this one... see disclaimer below)
There are a ton more photos from the trip that I don't have yet, since they have yet to be dumped to hard drives, burnt, passed around, mailed overseas etc. So expect a full photo album of band shots in the coming weeks!
