First off, the animated video for "I Am The New Number Two" has started it's rounds of the internet. If you haven't seen the video yet, you can check it out either at our site for the full slick-looking flash version, or alternately on YouTube for the slightly lower-quality version. We submitted the video to one of my favorite time-waster sites, Transbuddha, and it was posted yesterday, which I think is pretty exciting. We're trying to come up with other sites to submit it to, so if anyone has any suggestions then please let me know (or feel free to submit away!) We're going viral! Or at least, we're trying. What else? Well, this past weekend was spent doing a lot of skating on the canal. The ice was pretty rough over the weekend due to Winterlude, but on Sunday morning (and on Wednesday night) it was a whole lot better. So that's totally the time to go. I've got to get my skates resharpened this weekend, too. Gotta love it.
Finally, to follow up on the One-Two-Cha-Cha-Cha post from a couple of weeks ago, I went on a hunt to see if that song existed on any CD's, and I stumbled on a great compilation series by a London DJ named Martin Karminsky, stage name The Karminsky Experience. (If you want to see an incredibly designed website, go check that link out, it's mind-bogglingly cool.) Anyway, he has a couple of compilations called
In-Flight Entertainment, which I recently picked up and have been digging incessantly for most of the week. It has to be one of the best '60s swingin' Jet-Set era CD's I've ever heard. And since it's Friday, I think I'll even post a little something to listen to. So let's usher in the weekend with a some Brigitte Bardot.Brigitte Bardot - Je Danse Donc Je Suis
