Bad Thing: Conservatives win the election.
Good Thing: It's only a minority.
Bad Thing: President Prime Minister Harper.
Good Thing: Short leash and a potentially lame duck parliament
Bad Thing: Liberals are distracted with no leader, so it might be possible to pass hardline legislation for a while
Good Thing: Then the Libs would crush them in the next election
Bad Thing: Harper ended his speech last night by saying "God Bless Canada". (Eerily familiar.. it made me shiver.)
Good Thing: NDP up to 29 seats from 19!
Bad Thing: 124 (CON) + 29 (NDP) < 154
Good Thing: 103 (LIB) + 29 (NDP) > 124 (CON)
Bad Thing: 124 (CON) + 51 (BQ) > 154
Good Thing: Dewar in Ottawa Centre and Olivia in Trinity-Spadina!
Bad Thing: Paul Martin stepping down as Liberal leader. (I know it's the best thing for the party, but I can't help feeling a bit bad for the guy)
Good Thing: New leadership drama!
