Travelbloggin': Peru (Part 4 & Conclusion)

On my last day, I decided to pick up some things from the artisan market I had visited a couple of days before and had a really long final walk around Miraflores, and went down to the ocean one last time. (I have to take advantage of any opportunity I get, since it doesn't happen very often for me.) I met up with the group coming back from the Amazon, so we went out for dinner before I was off to the airport to come home.

I realize that this is a really "Coles Notes" version of everything that went down, and I tell people about more details in person as they come up, but it was a really awesome time; probably the coolest thing I can remember ever doing. I got to do something physical on the trail, experience some Peruvian cuisine (I really dig yuca, it's a root that's a bit like potato), met some really great people (any of whom are welcome to stay with me whenever they want), and caught a glimpse of life in different regions of Peru. Fortunately, there's so many different regions, I still have several good reasons to go back there.

Now I'm trying to adjust to life below zero degrees, snow, being once again able to drink tap water, and trying to decide where to go next. Hmmmmm....
