I really need to pay a little more attention to this blog, I think. I don't know what it was that kept me so busy last week and not writing anything, but I guess I must have been up to quite a lot. Hmm.
Anyhow, a little music news. The solo album was supposed to be finished by now, but regrettably it's only half-written and not recorded. This is due to a few important reasons; first, the mic I ordered at the beginning of the month just got shipped last week and according to the online tracking page, is currently sitting at O'Hare airport in Chicago. Also, I got a little sidetracked trying to get some more writing done for The Reverb Syndicate, who plays our first show on March 25th at Irene's. (My first show in 3½ years.. yikes!) I also sat down and looked at the lyrics I did for the acoustic project, and I can actually see a lot of things I don't like about them, but they're very tangible things that I now know that I need to improve on. This led me to start writing more lyrics for the Home Office, which I already have the second EP recorded (musically), so I'm getting closer to having that EP done. And that's the stuff that I really dig. (I don't dig myself as an acoustic solo guy as much)
So while I still don't have a solo album, a lot of the things I was trying to accomplish through this project in the first place have still happened; namely, I've been still writing constantly, I seem to have somewhat broken through my lyrical mental block, and at the same time I did finish writing 4 songs for it that I can record when the mic gets here (and maybe even use parts for the Home Office.) So I can't say that I wasn't productive, at least.
And now, so as to distract you from the fact that there are no links to music on this page... I'm going to link to images of cute bunnies to keep your minds anesthetized. Ha!

Yo, Narrator. Like bunnies? go to cuteoverload.com. You will either sigh, or throw up. The choice is yours! 3 cheers for the Home Office - I hope it wasn't my absence that caused you to be so darn busy, all of a sudden :)
Choco-greetings from the land of Ricola,
K~
Whoah. I'm not quite sure what I think of cuteoverload. I didn't sigh, or throw up, but I did feel shivers like someone was in the room with me. Jeebus.
Mmm... Ricola...
